| Aurora vs Hillcrest in the Gary Keeling Invitational gets off to a much quicker pace than the previous game. Jenna Chadd of Aurora leads all scorers at the half with 16 points while Lady Hornett Zandra Campbell scores 10 points in the 2nd Quarter hitting a layup at the 7:20 mark of the 2nd to put Hillcrest up 23-22. Then Aurora goes on a 10-0 run over the next 2:13 to take a 32-23 lead. Aurora's Lakin Waggoner hits a three with 1:18 left and Aurora lead at the half 43-35 nearly identical to the final in the previous game 45-38. Hillcrest comes out of the break going to a 1-3-1 trap in an attept to create points off turnovers. Able to go on a 6-0 run late in the 3rd Hillcrest cuts the lead 52-47. Aurora gets 4 offensive rebounds and finally a put back at the 3rd quarter buzzer and going to the 4th it was Aurora by 10 59-49. After some back and forth Lady Hornett Kendra Painter hits a layup from the left side making the score Aurora 66 Hillcrest 63 with 3:41 remaining forcing Coach Kevin Besch to use a timeout. With 1:45 Hillcrest Coach Jenni Hopkins calls a timeout down 70-65. Aurora breaks the press and gets an easy basket prompting another Hillcrest timeout. Aurora is able to hang on for the victory. Final score Aurora 78 Hillcrest 70, Jenna Chadd lead Aurora with 23 while Hillcrest Freshmen Kelsi Cleeton led all scorers with 25.
